Idea Exchange
The first step in the custom process is the Idea Exchange. Our engineers will spend as much time as needed listening to you and your team. This way we will have a clear understanding of exactly what the final product will be like. We will bounce ideas back and forth with you in an attempt to deliver the most cost effective solution for your specific laser need. Once we have a clear understanding of the design input, we will move on to a product design.
Design
DLC, Inc. maintains a highly qualified engineering staff with specific expertise in the areas of project management, mechanical, electrical and optical design. Our team of engineers will work with you to design and build a module that meets or exceeds your specifications. Whether you are an industry veteran or this is your first time working with lasers you will receive a high quality, reliable diode laser module and the best customer service in the industry. Your engineering support will extend from the initial concept design through qualification of your module’s production process and extend beyond to address your ever changing needs.
Production
Once the design is finalized our engineering team will move out to the production floor to build the first few prototypes of your module. By being actively involved in physical production of your project, our engineers eliminate miscommunication of design requirements, provide training, identify unforeseen design/process issues, and ensure that the resulting product meets or exceeds all identified performance parameters.
Testing
The testing stage of the design process is vital to producing a reliable diode laser module. Our engineers have rigid test procedures to guarantee your laser will perform exactly as needed every time you use it, as well as outside test-house resources used as required. If you the customer or DLC sense the module is not performing exactly as you need it to, we will take a step back, redesign to correct any problems and then build a corrected version. This allows high confidence that the resulting design and finished product meets or exceeds the application requirements.
Shipment
After you have approved our design and we have built and tested your module, we will ship you your module. Upon receipt of the module we will walk you through the correct operating procedures. This guarantees your safety and peak performance of the module. Our relationship does not end there though. We will work with you to make any changes to existing or new designs and answer any questions. We want our products to improve as your product evolves.
